Welcome to The Turbinia, a proud local landmark in Walkergate, Newcastle upon Tyne, where great food, friendly faces, and unforgettable nights come together. Recently refurbished and reimagined, The Tub has transformed into a vibrant food and events destination — offering everything from our famous Sunday Carvery and homemade pub classics to live entertainment and themed events every week.

Whether you’re dropping in for a freshly poured pint, a family meal in our cosy restaurant, or a night of dancing with DJ Glen, you’ll always find a warm welcome waiting. We’re proud to be a true community hub, hosting family-friendly activities, charity fundraisers, and even raising money for a public defibrillator — helping make Walkergate a safer, stronger place. Kids love our bouncy castle and outdoor spaces (open in good weather!), and dogs are always welcome too — making The Turbinia the perfect stop for locals and visitors alike.
