Bonfire night is fast approaching! Make sure to wrap up warm and get ready for an explosive season of fireworks. From stunning stadium shows to local park displays, there are plenty of events lighting up Newcastle and Gateshead, and the surrounding areas this November. Local DJs, performers, tasty food and drinks stalls will make many of these events more than just fireworks, they’re full-on celebrations. 1st November

North Tyneside's annual fireworks display attracts thousands of people to see a spectacular show overlooking the North Sea off Whitley Bay. There are fairground rides and refreshments from 6pm and the display starts at 7pm, lasting for around 15 minutes. Find out more.

1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th November

The Beamish Hall Fireworks Extravaganza returns for 2026. Arrive early and enjoy live performances, entertainers and a DJ set before exploring the hotel grounds, with classic fairground rides and food and drink from a selection of local vendors. • 1 ticket = entry for 1 car. Event tickets are sold per car rather than on an individual basis. Each ticket is for a car. No vans, minibus or coaches will be permitted.

5th November

The annual Fireworks Display returns for another year, with fairground rides, food stalls and vendors, three indoor bars and characters to enjoy before the main event. The display is just a five-minute walk from Benton Metro Station, or a 15-minute walk or one Metro stop from Four Lane Ends, which has parking facilities. Find out more.

5th November

Watch in wonder as spectacular fireworks light up the night sky over the River Tyne where Swan Hunter used to launch its ships. You can also expect a selection of coffee vans on-site selling refreshments. Find out more.

7th November

On stage entertainment from local acts and performers, hosted by DJ playing all the biggest hits throughout the evening in the build up to the Grand Finale at 8.30pm with a huge firework display. There's also a giant fairground with thrill and classic rides to suit all ages. Find out more.

• There is an option to "pay on the door" however it is recommended to pre purchase as on the day sales will be limited - or not guaranteed - £10 per person on the door - card only.

7th November

Newcastle Round Table’s annual Fireworks Extravaganza returns to Broadway West Playing Fields in Gosforth for its 50th year in 2026. Head along from 5pm and enjoy an evening of entertainment before the spectacular fireworks display gets underway at approximately 7pm. Expect over 120 effects per minute, a fireworks display set to music, fire performers, character meet and greets, food and drink stalls and fairground rides.
