Bonfire night is fast approaching! Make sure to wrap up warm and get ready for an explosive season of fireworks. From stunning stadium shows to local park displays, there are plenty of events lighting up Newcastle and Gateshead, and the surrounding areas this November. Local DJs, performers, tasty food and drinks stalls will make many of these events more than just fireworks, they’re full-on celebrations. Spooktacular Fireworks and FunFair Night at Newcastle Racecourse

On Saturday 1st November you can join in the fun at the spooktacular fireworks and funfair race night. Newcastle Racecourse promises a night of fireworks and fun for the whole family. Throughout the evening, you can enjoy a wide range of entertainment and interactive experiences, and the night concludes with a stunning firework and laser display. There will also be plenty of funfair rides alongside food and drink to enjoy. Gates open at 1:50pm, with the first flat horse race at 3:20pm and the last race at 7pm - there will be 8 races in total during those times. Firework Frenzy at Gateshead Stadium

Firework Frenzy at Gateshead International Stadium is a brand new event for this year and it will take place on Saturday 1st November 2025. The doors to the event will open at 5pm - in the build up to the firework display you can enjoy some incredible on stage entertainment from local acts and performers, and there will also be a DJ playing all the biggest hits throughout the evening before the display starts at 8:30pm. Bonfire and Firework Extravaganza at Blaydon RFC

Blaydon RFC is back with their 19th Annual Bonfire Night! Arrive from 3pm to enjoy the funfair, explore all of the food and drink stalls, and soak up the atmosphere. The bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm, followed by an exciting firework display at 7:15pm. Grab your tickets and make sure you don’t miss this long-standing local tradition.

North Tyneside Fireworks Display

North Tyneside's annual fireworks display on Sunday 2nd November attracts thousands of people to see a spectacular show overlooking the North Sea at Whitley Bay Links. There are fairground rides and refreshments for all to enjoy from 6pm and the fireworks display starts at 7pm, and will last for around 15 minutes. Firework Extravaganza at Beamish Hall

The Beamish Hall Fireworks Extravaganza returns for 2025! From 2nd - 5th November you’ll be treated to an evening full of excitement and entertainment. Arrive from 6pm and the firework display will start at 7:30pm. Before the display, soak up the atmosphere with live performances, entertainers, and a lively DJ set. Explore the hotel grounds and enjoy classic fairground rides and delicious food and drink from a curated selection of local vendors. Fireworks at the Fort

On Wednesday 5th November at Segedunum Roman Fort, Wallsend - watch in wonder as spectacular fireworks light up the night sky over the River Tyne where Swan Hunter used to launch its ships. Entry to the museum is free after 5pm so why not explore the museum exhibits before choosing the best spot to watch the display which start at 6.30pm. There will also be street entertainment, including a fire performer, glowing LED Hula Hoop fun, and magical Living Lampposts to enjoy between 5:00pm and 6:30pm. Fireworks Display at Blue Flames

On Wednesday 5th November the gates to the fireworks display open at 5:30pm, and you'll find plenty to keep the whole family entertained, from thrilling fairground rides to a variety of food stalls and vendors serving delicious treats. The spectacular fireworks display will start from 7:00pm. Make the most of the three indoor bars for drinks, and keep an eye out for special character appearances throughout the night. Gosforth Fireworks Extravaganza 2025

On Saturday 8th November, get ready for Gosforth Fireworks Extravaganza, as it’s back for 2025. Gates for the event open at 5:00pm with the fireworks starting at approximately 7:00pm. You can expect over 120 dazzling effects per minute, children’s rides & family attractions, delicious food & drinks and even fire performers. This event is hosted by Newcastle Round Table and every penny raised goes directly to local charities and good causes. Please note that there is no parking available on site. Family Fireworks at Gosforth

Enjoy indoor and outdoor family fun on Saturday 8th November at South Northumberland Cricket Club for their firework night. The main hall opens from 5pm with bouncy castles, face painting, and plenty of space to stay warm before heading outside for the fantastic fireworks display at 7:30pm. it’s the perfect option if you want to enjoy some indoor fun before the big show! Get ready for an explosive night as the popular fireworks display returns to Tynemouth Cricket Club on Saturday 8th November. There will be fun for the whole family with fairground rides to enjoy alongside food and drink stalls. The gates to the event open from 5pm, and the fireworks display starts from 7pm. Fireworks Display at Rutherford AFC, Gateshead

Get ready for a fun night on Saturday 8th November, as this year’s firework display theme is ‘Moana’, and everyone is encouraged to join in the fun with fancy dress inspired by the film! The fireworks will be choreographed to songs from the beloved movie, making for a truly enchanting display. Doors to the event open at 6pm, with the fireworks set to go off around 8:30pm. Throughout the evening, there’ll be food and drinks served both indoors and outdoors, plus face painting, balloon modelling, and toys for sale to keep the little ones entertained. A DJ will keep the music going outdoors before the display and move indoors afterwards for more tunes.
