    The Tyne Bar

    Ouseburn is one of the most well known areas of Newcastle to experience live music, and the Tyne Bar has been one of Newcastle's best-loved independent pubs since it first opened its doors in November 1994 and is still as popular today. It's not just the pints of Taddy Larger that keeps revellers coming back, but the array of live music events on offer. The Tyne Bar has been host to many live acts who play for free under the famed glittering disco ball. The schedule is always jam packed and guaranteed to please, with special events on Bank Holidays. In their words  they provide "free live music that gives The Tyne its heart and soul".

    The Grove

    New kid on the block, The Grove is a bar and live music venue in Byker. Offering delicious cocktails, a terrace and a space perfect to discover your next favourite band, the venue has quickly become the place to visit. The venue has a 400 person capacity music hall which is fitted with a L’Acoustics System, meaning you are in for a treat when seeing acts here. The venue has already hosted new local artists and well known international ones and has a packed schedule for all the music lovers in Newcastle. Open until late, continue your evening well after the last chord is played as resident and guest DJs fill the venue with good vibes. 

    The Points

    Open on Friday's and Saturday's, The Points is an Irish bar hosting a plethora of live music. Situated next to Filthy's in Bigg Market, The Points is ideal for anyone who wants to have a sing along to well known Irish folk and rock songs. Entry is free, however on event nights and bank holidays, there may be a small entry fee. See you on the dance floor!
