By entering the competition, participants indicate their acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
1.1 The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or older, unless otherwise specified.
1.2 Employees of NewcastleGateshead Initiative are not eligible to participate.
2.1 To enter the competition, participants must fill out the online form to sign up to the newcastlegateshead newsletter.
2.2 Only one entry per person is allowed per day. Multiple entries will not be taken into consideration.
3.1 The competition begins on December 1st and ends on December 12th 2023, with each prize available to enter for 24 hours.
3.2 Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
4.1 The prizes and their values are outlined in the competition announcement.
4.2 Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered.
5.1 Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries.
6.1 Winners will be notified by email within 10 days of the closing date.
6.2 If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 30 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from that winner and select a replacement.
6.3 To adhere with both ASA Guidelines and GDPR, the surnames of winners will be published and publicly available as proof of winning entries being drawn.
7.1 By entering the competition, participants agree to participate in any promotional activity related to the competition.
7.2 We may use the winner's name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
8.1 NewcastleGateshead reserves the right to nullify and disqualify any entry that is suspected of being fraudulent, in violation of these terms and conditions, or if NewcastleGateshead has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the giveaway by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair practices.
8.2 Suspected violations include, but are not limited to, the use of automated entries, multiple entries from the same individual, or entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.
8.3 NewcastleGateshead will make all reasonable efforts to investigate and verify entries before nullifying them. Entrants may be contacted for further clarification if necessary.
8.4 Nullification of entries is at the sole discretion of NewcastleGateshead, and its decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision.
8.5 In the event that an entry is nullified, the participant associated with that entry may be disqualified from the giveaway without further notice.
9.1 Any personal information provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of the competition and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant's prior consent.
9.2 The surnames of the winners, published for compliance with both ASA Guidelines and GDPR, will be retained for a period of twelve months from the announcement of the competition results. After this period, all personal data will be securely and permanently deleted in accordance with GDPR regulations.
10.1 Newcastle Gateshead Initiative reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time.
10.2 We are not responsible for any entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete.
10.3 By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
11.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
