When Coal Was King - Celebration Of The North East Miners Working Class
In the week leading up to the Durham Miners Gala, The White Room plays host to a number of local musicians coming together to perform songs from our past, celebrating & commemorating the miners & working class heritage we have in the north east.

Expect iconic & traditional folk ballads, quirky sing -a-longs & with some original music & a surprise or 2

Musicians including Ken Tonge, Kev Youldon, Bill Elliot, Kiddars Luck, Andy Fraser, John Wrightson & a cameo from yours truly…

Artists will each perform a short set of self penned or traditional working class themed songs with a finale from the wonderful Bill & Kev from The Northern Roots band.

This will be a very popular event with limited tickets
