Join us at Three Tanners Bank for a gorgeous night of celebrating female talent with music from Scottish duo The Elidas as well as local acts Hannah Robinson and Elizabeth Liddle, with all profits going to the West End Women and Girls Centre.
About the artists:
The Elidas are Scottish identical twins, Venice and Belle. Their sibling harmonies, heartbreaking lyrics and charming covers are fast making them "ones to watch" in the indie folk scene.
Signed to indie label River Jones Music in Austin, the girls played to sold out audiences in Texas earlier this year and are back in the UK for the summer to take their music up and down the country.
Hannah Robinson is quickly becoming a household name on the North East music scene, penned the Geordie dream rocker. Her dreamy, shoe gazey rock is influenced by the likes of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine, as well as new noise bands like NewDad, Just Mustard, and Swim School
Drawing inspiration from 70’s classic singer-songwriters such as Carole King, Carly Simon, & Joni Mitchell, Elizabeth Liddle’s style is influenced heavily by the sound of the Laurel Canyon, with modern-yet-retro pop/soul influences creating her own unique sound.
All profits from the night will be donated to the West End Women and Girls Centre which gives hope to so many who need it right here in the heart of our community.
They are the only open access centre in Newcastle and provide outreach education and empowerment to women and girls in need.
Whether it’s a warm meal, support through domestic abuse, help with housing and accessing social services, or simply a shoulder to cry on, the team at the centre do anything and everything they can for those around them.
Due to continuous funding cuts, the centre desperately needs our support to help keep the doors open, the lights on, and to keep up the incredible work that goes on every day.
