With readings and discussion from some of the most fearless authors writing today, and immersive live music from local musician The Early Purple, a night of celebration for literature lovers awaits – including the reveal of the 2025 Gordon Burn Prize winner.
The Gordon Burn Prize honours the memory of the late Newcastle-born writer Gordon Burn. It celebrates brilliant writing and innovative books that challenge convention, as Gordon’s own writing did. This year’s judges are writers Terri White, Carl Anka, Angela Hui, Sarah Phelps and David Whitehouse.
