We end the year with a return to one of our favorite corners of the spectrum, where techno intersects with the various sub-genres of post-punk.
From his formative years as a mainstay on Hell's legendary Gigolos imprint, to his later transmissions on Ostgut Ton and Mute Records, Terence Fixmer has been a stalwart of techno for over twenty years.
An-i (aka Doug Lee) conjures gristly body music, and is a regular fixture on L.I.E.S. and Cititrax. His live performances are bruising rituals where the skeletal pulse of techno collides with the chaos of noise, and his fed back vocals teeter just shy of total disintegration.
