Get ready, Newcastle – MOBO Fringe is coming!

From Thursday 13 February to Monday 17 February, the city will be buzzing with a spectacular five-day celebration of Black music and culture, building up to the iconic MOBO Awards on Tuesday 18 February at the Utilita Arena.

For the first time, the MOBO Awards are heading to Newcastle, and the MOBO Fringe Festival is set to mark the occasion with an electrifying mix of live performances, workshops, summits, and community events. With an incredible line-up featuring some of the region’s finest talent, this is your chance to dive into the heart of creativity, culture, and connection.

🎤 Highlights of the MOBO Fringe Festival include:

• MOBO Fringe Launch – Kick things off at The Glasshouse on Thursday 13 February with live performances from local stars including Azula Bandit, Hannabiell & Midnight Blue, and many more.
• Live @ The Grove – A Friday night packed with R&B karaoke and performances from a sensational roster of artists.
• WHQ & Friends – World Headquarters takes over Saturday night with DJs, special guests, and a party you won’t want to miss.
• BBC Introducing NE x MOBO Showcase – Celebrate the best of emerging talent at The Glasshouse on Sunday 16 February.
• MOBO Music Summit, The Glasshouse – Industry experts take the stage on Monday 17 February for a day of panels, workshops, and more.
• MOBO Unsung Class of 2025 Showcase – Be the first to see future stars perform live at Pilgrim (formerly Hoochie Coochie) on Monday 17 February.

🎶 Workshops & Community Events:
Discover creative workshops designed to inspire, from open-deck DJ sessions to dance classes, songwriting camps, and beyond. There’s even a special schools’ programme giving young people the chance to shine at the MOBO Fringe launch and awards night.
