To celebrate British Science Week, Life Science Centre invites you to explore the exciting world of robotics for one day only on Saturday 8 March 2025. Meet the experts from Sunderland University and discover how cutting-edge robotics are solving real-world challenges right here in the North East.

🔹 Meet the robots! Get up close to agile robot dogs, interactive droids like BB-8 and Pepper, and challenge a robotic arm to a game of noughts and crosses.
🔹 Hands-on experiments! Try mini sumo robots, a Rubik’s Cube-solving bot, and gesture-controlled trilobots.
🔹 Luma the giant glowing robotic snail! Don’t miss this mesmerising, larger-than-life robotic creature.
This special event is included with your standard science centre ticket and runs alongside Life Science Centre’s regular exhibits and activities.
