Kynren is an epic tale told as spectacular outdoor theatre in Bishop Auckland. Starting at sunset and ending in starlight, the 90-minute show is set against the magnificent backdrop of Auckland Castle in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.

Kynren is a multi-award-winning live action outdoor theatre spectacular which will take visitors on a spellbinding voyage through history as seen through the eyes of Arthur, the son of a North East, mining family.
From the fog of war and the noise of battle to the heat of industry; from Romans to Victorians, from the lavish pomp and pageantry to thrilling choreography, amazing stunts, equestrianism, special effects and pyrotechnics.

The Park will offer visitors a jam-packed afternoon with electrifying new shows and engaging attractions including an exhilarating Horse Stunt show like no other. Visitors to Kynren can watch thrilling stunts, chariot races, jousting and be on the lookout, as dragons are about! Make sure to arrive early as you will definitely need time to explore the maze, enchanting mini explorers adventure playground and lakeside live music experience.
There will be Hog Roast street food as well as a family-friendly, covered dining hall so you can enjoy an at-seat meal before the spectacular show.
