Bob Olley is a South Shields artist known in particular for his paintings depicting the mining heritage of the area.
Bob has kindly donated a series of paintings, which were originally commissioned by South Shields Museum and displayed during the highly successful exhibition, Pushing the Boat Out, which celebrated the importance of shipbuilding and ship repair to the riverside communities of South Shields, Jarrow and Hebburn.
