Ali Barden and Diane Westwood: Curious Works in ceramics, textiles and mixed-media. This work emerges from our curiosity - about materials, forms and processes. Some pieces have stories to tell, some ask to be touched and held, while others speak of human nature and culture. And so these works that come from curiosity, in turn, seek to inspire curiosity.

Ali’s ceramics often connect word, image and form. They are drawn from stories, poems and songs and, in turn, tell stories that are deeply rooted in family, nature, place and memory.

Diane’s mixed media objects are playful experiments with materials and form - often combining the found and the exotic in surprising ways, while her two dimensional textile work is situated in the space between the real and the imagined.

Together, these curious works make for an eclectic and exciting show.
