Home Educators workshop - Skin is your Armour workshop - Great North Museum: Hancock

Add to trip
Dive into the world of skin biology and rare diseases with a skin researcher as we follow her journey into science from a home educated background, all the way to her PhD. We will show how skin is the armour that protects your body from infection and the environment around you, using skin models and interactive discussions. We will also look at rare skin conditions and what happens when that armour fails.

This session is delivered by researcher Amy Robinson, student at Newcastle University.

Suitable for ages 6 to 11 years of age.
We ask that parents accompany their children during the session.
The session may include looking at images of skin infections.
