Poverty Summit - Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

The Gateshead Tackling Poverty Together Summit will launch the co-development of an anti-poverty and financial wellbeing strategy and action plan for Gateshead.

We would love Gateshead organisations and partners from all sectors, as well as the people they work with, to attend this event to share their views and insights to start to shape our joint approach.

This full-day summit will feature interactive workshops, thematic breakout sessions and many conversations to help shape the development of Gateshead's Anti-Poverty Strategy and action plan.

The workshops will include:

* What can we change/ control/ influence in relation to tackling poverty at a local level?
* Agreeing our values & principles working together to develop the strategy and for the delivery of the strategy.
* Dignity & respect addressing stigma and judgement
* Afternoon breakout sessions to further develop emerging themes and priority areas for the strategy.

Please note, this summit encourages attendance from Gateshead based organisations and businesses, VCSE partners and residents, therefore priority will be awarded to those falling into this category, and to those who deliver services and/or support in Gateshead, but may have a base outside. A reserve list will be held for those wishing to attend but who are not based in or living in Gateshead.
