This course, taught by a professional artist, is aimed at providing a solid understanding of the skills artists use to produce representational artworks.
Students will learn to accurately depict the visual world through the use of line, shape, value, colour, and composition. Emphasis will be placed on developing a strong understanding of improving drawing and painting skills, developing your artworks using key skills that other resources often overlook (we often discuss mindset, and easy to grasp professional skills in the sessions).
Although there may be some short exercises that develop your skills, the focus will be on improving your skills in self-directed personalised projects - you choose the subject, and we'll show you how to make it better! Whether you're new to drawing and painting, or have done it for some time, you'll find some skills in the course that will help you improve.
