In 2021, Newcastle will take centre stage once again - this time as one of the host cities for the Rugby League World Cup 2021.

Watch Scotland v Italy at Kingston Park on Sunday 24 October as the nail-biting sporting tournament gets underway in 2021.

The Scottish rugby league team will be staying in Newcastle to train during the tournament so come and support the Bravehearts as they bring their A game to the 2021 world cup.

The biggest tournament in Rugby League - the Rugby League World Cup - will take place in England spanning 5 weeks from Saturday 23 October 2021 and Newcastle will be one of the host cities for the major sporting event. Newcastle's iconic city-centre stadium, St James' Park will host the opening game which will see England v Samoa to kick start the Rugby League World Cup tournament.

The excitement doesn't end there, nearby Kingston Park will host an additional 3 men's group games. Kingston Park is home to Newcastle Thunder and Rugby Union team Newcastle Falcons.
