Out on the Toon - Outdoor Theatre

Northern Stage Out on the Toon outdoor theatre WEBSITE

June will be filled with outdoor theatre and performance in locations across the North East - from Heaton to Bill Quay, South Shields to Sunderland. The neighbourhood events are commissioned by Northern Stage as part of Out On The Toon and will take place throughout June 2021.

Northern Stage are going Out on the Toon! Come for a wander with them throughout June as they host a series of free Neighbourhood Events across the region reconnecting artists and audiences in their local neighbourhood with live performances, dance, family story trails, short stories and films, live music, spoken word and more.

10 North East theatre makers were selected by Northern Stage to breathe new life into the places and spaces that have been the backdrop to their lockdown, celebrating the diversity of our region and bringing communities together through immersive live performances, dance, story trails, short stories, films, live music and spoken word.

More information about times and specific locations will follow very soon.
