Life Science Centre would love to welcome you to their award-winning attraction during October half term! Life Science Centre is Good To Go and has a week of activities, events and exhibitions to entertain all ages as part of a family day out in Newcastle.

  • Take the leg of a robot, the body of a monster and mash them together to build your own scary cardboard creature. Find out how to breathe life into your beast by turning it into a shadow puppet or a GIF that you can share with your friends.
  • Enjoy the new family-friendly live show Spooky Science. They have created a campfire storytelling vibe as you explore things that go bump in the night. Did something just flutter behind you? What is that eerie light? Do you hear what I hear? Come and learn why it's often your own imagination that spooks you the most.
  • Keep your eyeballs peeled around the science centre to spot the skeletons on the Skeleton Trail. These funny bones might have names that sound a bit familiar if you know some famous scientists... (Please bring a pen or pencil from home.)
  • Have an out-of-this-world experience in the immersive Space Zone. Younger visitors can enjoy the show Naughty Monsters Explore the Planets in the planetarium.
  • Marvel at the impressive LEGO® brick models in Brick Dinos – an exhibition with real bite!
Explore brain tricks and illusion treats in the Brain Zone.
  • Join the team for some pop-up science as they explore the ingredients in hand sanitiser, see how sneezes spread diseases and why soapy water is the enemy of the virus. Plus, discover what’s happening here in the North East to help fight the pandemic and delve into what we can all do to make a difference.
