Join award-winning storytellers Brooke & Hannah from Little Supernovas & Onceupona on Zoom to imagine a world where kings prick their fingers as they sew, wolves wear heels, and princesses race to rescue sleeping princes. Turning the fairy tales we know and love on their heads, Gender Swapped Fairy Tales shines a light on the gender stereotypes woven into the stories we've been telling our children for generations. From Sleeping Handsome to Jacqueline and the Beanstalk and Gretel and Hansel, you'll be dazzled by the world this one small swap creates. Gender Swapped Fairy Tales by Karrie Fransman and Jonathan Plackett is available from 2 November. This is an online event. Simply download the Zoom app, follow the link we provide via email after booking and enjoy the story from the comfort of your own home. Tickets are £3 per household. By donating the ticket price or more to attend this event you are supporting Seven Stories, Onceupona and Little Supernovas to continue bringing the magic of stories to children, young people and families. To ensure this event is fun and safe to attend, please look at our house rules.
This event is aimed at 3 to 6 year olds and their families.
This event is supported by Faber and Faber
