These sessions are aimed at school-aged children. Children attend sessions without their parents or carers present. Activities vary each session and may include bug hunts, art and crafts with natural materials, learning how to light a campfire, games, using knots, den building and free play. Each session includes a campfire snack and drinks.
The sessions are led by a qualified forest school leader with an assistant in woodland, at Jesmond Dene. Children will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of age-appropriate activities and can focus on the things that they are most interested in, developing their skills over time.
Participants: 5–16 year olds
Misitu Club sessions run in term-time. You can either book a course of eight sessions or single sessions.
