Beamish Museum's Great North Festival of Transport is a major highlight in the North East cultural calendar. Usually taking place in April, the annual event is perfect for transport enthusiasts and families who love to see the impressive historic machines that powered our nation. As part of Beamish Museum's Great North Festival of Transport, join Beamish for their annual (and famous) steam fair The Great North Steam Fair in Spring 2020! (Please note, details and dates for the event have not yet been announced. Please check back for more information).

The Great North Steam Fair takes place at Beamish Museum and features magnificent locomotives, traction engines, steam rollers, cars, lorries and motorbikes, along with fascinating demonstrations and exhibitions.

Join us as visiting vehicles will converge on Beamish Museum for the incredibly popular four-day Great North Steam Fair.

See an amazing array of pre-1930 steam and motor transport from locomotives, traction engines and steam rollers to fire engines, cars and motorbikes in action across the museum.

The Great North Steam Fair is the first event of our Great North Festival of Transport which also includes Horses at Work.

As with all daytime events, you can use your Unlimited Pass or Friends of Beamish membership to enjoy this special event.
