Take a deep breath and relax in the apple orchard, wander on a sensory stroll around the garden or share your blossom photography and art with #GibsideLens and #BlossomWatch.
Visit Gibside to see several species of blossom trees, including pear, apple, and apricot, which flower anytime from March – May.
On the run-up to blossom week, Monday 24 April to Sunday 30 April, the Walled Garden will be draped in bunting, ribbon and nature tapestries, including an archway of flowers created by Gibside’s own community sewing group.
During the celebrations the beekeepers will be chatting to visitors about the power of blossom and its importance to pollinators. There’ll be lawn games, willow tepees, and blossom bakes in the café.
