This is one of our new local collab workshops, where we invite a local producer to share their wonderful products and ingredients with us. The idea is to enjoy creativity and experimentation together, to try and taste different recipes and combinations. With host chocolatier Jane Williams, this is going to be led by your creativity. Choose how to use the ingredients - choose whether to create bars of truffles (or both), choose what chocolate to match the ingredients with (milk, white, dark, or your own mix!) and whether to pair it with other ingredients. Bring a friend, and enjoy experimenting with chocolate together. Or come on your own, and meet other creatives who love chocolate too! These one-off events promise to be an exciting chocolate experience, and you can take your creations home with you to show your friends and family.
With guest local producers, Sam and Pan from Belle & Herbs, bringing amazing preserved, pickled and fermented fruit and vegetables from their Fermentary on a farm in Wallsend, this is going to be one of our most unusual and exciting events ever! The preserved lemons, crunchy black jalapenoes, and chilli jam will be just some of the ingredients we will be paring with chocolate, along with gochugaru chilli spice from Korea, and other unusual flavours.
Belle & Herbs have recently been on The Hairy Bikers - showcasing some of these sensational products and we can't wait to trial how they work with chocolate. Come along for a fun night out with a friend, or come and meet other foodies who love chocolate. This workshop promises to be a unique journey of discovery, and it all starts here!
