Newcastle Cathedral Guided Tour and Climb of Lantern Tour

On Saturday 31 October, make the most of a rare chance to climb the 162 steps to the top of Newcastle Cathedral’s Lantern Tower with breath-taking views of the city.

Tours run on 31 October at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm and 2.30pm (Tours will last approx 75 minutes and pre-booking is required).

Each aspect of Newcastle Cathedral's tower reveals a unique story of the heritage and people of Newcastle upon Tyne.

During the climb up, take a breath at the Cathedral Bell Chamber and hear some of the fascinating stories behind the Cathedral's history.

This is a challenging tour with enclosed spaces and lots of steps! You must be physically fit to undertake this tour. Sensible footwear must be worn and no large bags are permitted on the tour.

Minimum age 13. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Max 6 people from the same household or support bubble per tour.

This event is part of Common Ground in Sacred Space, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
