3, 2, 1… BLAST OFF! Have you got what it takes to be an astronaut for the day? Jump on board our creative writing rocket where we’ll be taking a voyage into space to work on our personal writing skills! Let your imagination soar and design your very own spacesuit fit for a trip around the solar system, before imagining what it’s really like to travel to another planet. It’s going to be out of this world!
This live and interactive session will be led by Stephanie and Lauren from the Children’s Literature unit at Newcastle University. They're both writers and they've got tons of terrific techniques for creating characters, structuring storylines and putting pen to paper. There'll be plenty of opportunity to chat, ask questions and share your brilliant creations as part of the workshop. Tickets are £10 per household. This event is aimed at children age 7-11 and their families. Younger siblings are welcome to join in but may need extra adult support.
This is an online event and will be delivered via Zoom. You'll need to download the app and create a Zoom account before the session. The meeting link and joining instructions will be sent by email after booking.
Please take a look at our house rules for online events so that everyone can enjoy a safe and fun event.
Event tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless cancelled by Seven Stories. This still applies even if you can no longer attend because of illness or self-isolation. Seven Stories reserves the right to amend or cancel events as necessary and will a full refund in case of cancellation.
