The Old Black Cat Jazz Club meets each month, on the third Friday of the month, for relaxed performances in beautiful surroundings. All are welcome.

Join one of the North East's most entertaining jazz groups for an evening of swinging standards, soulful originals, film themes and groove-driven arrangements whenThe David Gray Flextet comes to The Old Black Cat Jazz Club.

Led by trombonist and vocalistDavid "Showtime" Gray, the Flextet brings together some of the region's finest musicians in a dynamic line-up featuring:

* Michael Mather drums

A graduate of James "Dr. Jazz" Birkett's renowned music programme, David has spent the last decade making his mark across the North East and beyond, building a reputation for performances that combine outstanding musicianship with warmth, humour and genuine entertainment.

Expect a vibrant mix of jazz standards, memorable theme music and original compositions, all delivered with touches of Hard Bop, funk and plenty of surprises along the way.
