After a long time of staying at home and not leaving your local area, things are starting to change! The government have announced that from 12 April, self-contained accommodation such as campsites and holiday lets, where indoor facilities are not shared with other households, can reopen. There are some brilliant self-catered cottages, city apartments and campsites which would be a perfect and safe place to have a change of scenery with your households.
From 17 May, subject to government's official go ahead, we hope that the rest of NewcastleGateshead's hotels and accommodation will be able to follow suit and this time, friends and family members from different households will be able to stay together. We can't wait to welcome visitors back to the region for holidays, short breaks and a chance to rediscover the North East. Plan now... travel later!
