HERO Beer blog

Updated from 5 June 2020.

The nightlife in NewcastleGateshead is world-renowned and with the best bars, pubs and breweries to choose from, it's easy to understand why.  But in Newcastle, it's not just the buzz of being 'out out' that makes for a great time but also the vast range of top quality, locally brewed beers and craft ales to sample when you're at one of the many independent venues across the region.

If we'd told you a year ago that pubs would be closed for much of 2020 and beyond, you wouldn't have believed us. Bars and pubs reopened with great success in the summer but with the return of localised and then national lockdown restrictions... there has been little opportunity to prop up the bar in NewcastleGateshead.

During the coronavirus lockdown - some of your favourite pubs and bars turned their hand to deliveries so that you can order your favourite craft beer or cocktail to be delivered to your home and recreate NewcastleGateshead pub life from your homes, patios and gardens with those in your household.

You can find out which pubs and bars are open in Newcastle and Gateshead here (once national lockdown lifts of course!) and in the meantime, raise a takeaway beer from home in support of NewcastleGateshead's bars, pubs and breweries!

We've done what we can to make sure the information is accurate but please check directly with the organisation to confirm details about delivery options.
