The latest Covid-19 restrictions may have derailed Live Theatre's plans for performing this Christmas creation in front of a live audience, but this virtual treat is the perfect present for theatre lovers to share and enjoy from the comfort of their own home.

Rehearsed, performed and filmed behind closed doors, 5 Plays of Christmas will be shared for FREE across digital platforms in mid-December.

This year, Sage Gateshead are giving us all a fine-tuned Christmas gift in the form of a one-off online performance from some of the top talent in the North East and beyond - and all completely free of charge! The Sage Gateshead Christmas Cracker, will see local hero Sam Fender join forces with the Sage Gateshead's very own orchestra Royal Northern Sinfonia, as well as pop musician Martha Hill, Teeside folk trio The Young'uns and more.

The event will be filmed in the iconic quayside building and presented by Jess Gillam (BBC Young Musician, saxophonist) and Ross Millard (The Futureheads).
