UK Pride in Newcastle, July 2022

It's been a long time coming, but 2022 is the year that Newcastle becomes the first city to host UK Pride and it is guaranteed to be a joyous festival. Postponed for two years due to the pandemic, the anticipation for UK Pride 2022 is at new levels and Newcastle - the city best known for being warm, friendly and especially vibrant in the nightlife department - is set to celebrate!  Visitors and locals alike are invited to take part in a festival weekend of events at Newcastle’s Town Moor (22-24 July) as well as a series of activity designed to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. There will be a stellar line-up at the UK Pride launch party including world-famous dancer and pop icon, Todrick Hall as well as Ru Paul's Drag Race UK finalist and fan favourite Bimini Bon Boulash AND megastar DJ Jodie Harsh. Feeling excited yet? We are! And that's all just to get the event started so you can expect much more across the 3-day festival.

Rugby League World Cup in Newcastle, October 2022

You can't beat the collective roar of a crowd contributing to the electrifying buzz of a packed out stadium. Be part of the action in Newcastle this autumn when the Rugby League World Cup kicks off its 2022 tournament. Newcastle's iconic city centre St James' Park stadium will host the opening ceremony and launch the whole sporting event on Saturday 15 October, followed by the opening men's match, England v Samoa. Three subsequent nail-biting matches will take place throughout October at home of Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder, Kingston Park. Sports fans and lovers of a great live event must book their visit to the toon this autumn to watch one of the four matches taking place in the city. Expect a festival atmosphere and plenty of extra bustle added to Newcastle's already vibrant city with a dedicated fanzone on NewcastleGateshead's impressive Quayside. 

The Harry Potter Tour Experience of Alnwick Castle and town

Wannabe wizards and witches have the chance to step into the magical world of Harry Potter with a unique themed experience led by independent company, Lundgren Tours. This is an exciting opportunity to explore Northumberland's magnificent Alnwick Castle which was one of the spectacular filming locations for the first two Harry Potter blockbuster films.
